Luis Naar, MD

Assistant physician, PhD candidate

Luis completed his medical degree at the Medical University of Vienna in 2023 and is currently a resident in internal medicine and nephrology at AKH Wien – Department of Internal Medicine III, as well as a doctoral student in the Epidemiology programme at the Medical University of Vienna, supervised by Prof. Manfred Hecking. He joined the HD & Co Research Group in 2023.

He is currently working on
- the "Long-itch" project, focusing on CKD-aP, blood pressure and pulse wave analysis 
- post-transplant HLA sensitisation and the role of immunosuppression after kidney allograft failure
- the effect of tirzepatide in patients with advanced chronic kidney disease and obesity, including dialysis and transplant recipients, within a prospective observational study
